Meme stolen from [info]futuresoon:

a. post a list of 15-20 tv shows you love (current or cancelled)
b. have your friends list guess your favorite character from each show.
c. when guessed bold the line and write a little bit about why you like that character, or your favorite quote. (include a picture if you want!)

Alphabetical just for fun:

1) Arrested Development
2) Blackpool
3) Bones - Booth
If Bones is the new Moonlighting then Booth is the new David Addison. Cheeky, charming and with a heart of gold provides a perfect foil for the more logical and clinical Bones, and proves that UST can still be done right in the television of today.

4) Boston Legal
5) Buffy - Giles

6) Doctor Who - The Doctor

7) Firefly - Mal
Captain, my captain.

8) Heroes - Nathan Petrelli

9) House - House
He is the show. As a medical drama it's extremely formulaic but House character keeps it interesting through the good times and the bad. It also helps a great deal that he's played to perfection by Hugh Laurie who has forever been one of my favourite actors, right back to his early days of British comedy.

10) Life On Mars - Gene Hunt

11) Moonlighting
12) Red Dwarf - Rimmer
He's the one I always feel the most empathy for. The most interesting and complex character on the show thanks to a fully fleashed out background. Despite not being the main character Rimmer always seems to bring the most emotional depth to the show and most of my favourite episodes always seem to revolve around him (ie Thanks For The Memory, Terrorform, Me2, Quarantine) He just constantly fails at everything while trying so hard to be liked it's hard not to feel sorry for the guy.

13) Top Gear
14) Veronica Mars
15) Wonderfalls

Also after finally having seen Hogfather (and also a British telemovie called Reversals tonight) I can honestly say that Marc Warren is my new favourite British actor (and another reason to finish watching State Of Play :p ).

Marc Warren is BRILLIANT AWESOME! So is Hogfather, but I tuned into Revealed tonight for a minute or two and all I saw was Tony Head being British and probably evil, Sarah Parish dressed as a man, and Marc Warren in a dress. Too tired to handle something like that that night (though I'm sure any other day I would have loved it). You should definitely see No Night Is Too Long. It was up in parts on YouTube, and it's COMPLETELY worth tracking down. He's also *incredibly* adorable in Hustle. *is a complete Marc Warren fan girl*

2) DI Carlisle?
3) Booth?
5) Spike? Wesley?
6)hm...the Doctor?
9) House..or maybe Wilson?
10) Annie?
12) Rimmer
13) Richard?

Yeah, I saw all but the first half hour of that movie. I flicked over after Donnie Darko when I saw in the guide that it starred Sarah and Tony - Marc was just an incredibly pleasent surprise.

Tony's character did turn out to be rather sleazy and evil - resulting in the others screwing him everyway possible at the end. Was a hell of a lot of fun if you can find it. :)

I'll have to track that one down. I knew he appeared a bit in Hustle but I've never seen an episode of that. I didn't however realise that he played Elton in Love & Monsters. I really need to start buying Doctor Who on DVD so I can see all those *old* episodes again.

2) Nope
3) Yep
5) Nope
6) Yep, though very much surpassed in those last few episodes by the JohnSimm!Master. :D
9) Has to be House, though Wilson and Cuddy would both come a close second. :)
10) Adorable as she is that's a no.
12) Yep
13) This one's actually a bit of a trick question.

I will now make a couple of incredibly random and uninformed guesses.

5) Giles
7) Mal
10) Sam (I have watched next to nothing of this show. I am only sort of sure that Sam is John Simm's character. This is also the only character I know the name of. Yay me :P)

Guesses not so random after all. :)

5) Yep
7) Yep
10) As much of a John Simm fangirl as I am his charcter is not my favourite. Also the ABC is currently repeating the first series of Life On Mars after Black Books on a Wednesday if you were ever interested in checking it out. It is rather quite fun. :)

Well, I did somewhat convince myself that you'd be a Giles person. Heck, he's one of my faves too. And you damn well can't go past Mal's wit.

Lol, yes, that's when I saw the couple of episodes I have managed to see bits of. After The Vicar of Dibley and Black Books. Might watch some more at some point.

Also they're both not too bad on the eyes. :p

Yes. Wednesday nights on the ABC are always wonderful. :)

This week's episode is quite good and as an added bonus contains that fan-favourite scene where John Simm ends up handcuffed naked to his bed. :D

Reciprocal guessing seems to be in order :-)

8) Nathan Petrelli - by symmetry

10) Life on Mars - Gene, mostly by elimination

13) Oliver - cos you said it was tricky

Marc Warren is excellent, I agree - he reminds me of a younger Malcolm McDowell - same terrifying eyes!

*sticks out tongue*

You're right on both 8&10.

13) Awesome answer but still not what I was thinking. Why didn't I go the car route?

That's a creepy thought. Interesting to see what he'll be like in 30-40 years. :)
